Randwick Hospital
Leathwood was engaged by Lendlease to deliver landscape and civil works for the Randwick Campus Redevelopment at Prince of Wales Hospital. This transformative project provided a state-of-the-art healthcare facility for Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, integrating green spaces to enhance patient well-being. The works spanned multiple levels, with diverse design elements that balanced functionality and aesthetics. A key component was the psychiatric ward landscaping, designed to create a therapeutic and calming environment.
The Level 4 rooftop refuge incorporated specialised green roof systems that promote sustainability while offering a tranquil retreat for staff and patients. The project also included 600 linear metres of custom Corten walling, a bespoke irrigation system, and carefully selected plantings to ensure long-term resilience. These elements combined to create a welcoming outdoor environment that complements the hospital’s cutting-edge facilities.
