Coles Distribution Centre
Leathwood was engaged by Richard Crookes to deliver landscape and civil works at the state of the art Coles Distribution Centre in Western Sydney. The 187,000m² site, equivalent in size to 25 rugby league fields, required careful planning to create functional and sustainable outdoor spaces for the large-scale facility.
Our team installed 2 kilometres of concrete edging, a fully automated GSI irrigation system, 4,800 tonnes of imported topsoil, and over 35,000 plants, along with 60 linear metres of gabion retaining walls. The design focused on reducing the starkness of hard surfaces and incorporating low-maintenance, drought-tolerant plants, promoting sustainability and enhancing the site’s aesthetic appeal.
