Canberra Hospital
The Canberra Hospital expansion is the largest healthcare infrastructure project undertaken by the ACT government, designed to meet the region’s growing healthcare demands. Our scope included landscape and civil works, focused on creating functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces for patients, staff, and visitors across multiple areas of the redeveloped hospital precinct.
The design featured 1,000 metres of detailed Class 2 concrete walls and custom seating, seamlessly integrated into the landscape. An indigenous plant palette reflects the region’s natural heritage. Breakout spaces, including a dedicated paediatric courtyard, provide a calm, supportive environment for young patients and families. Over 4,000m² of segmental paving was installed across trafficable roads and pavements within the hospital grounds.
