Sydney Fish Markets
The Sydney Fish Market Redevelopment is a landmark waterfront project in Glebe, forming part of the transformation of the iconic Sydney Fish Market precinct into a world-class retail, dining, and tourism destination. The works required careful planning and coordination to deliver high-quality landscape and civil construction within a busy harbourfront environment, including the installation of more than 700 linear metres of custom stainless steel edging and the removal of approximately 800 tonnes of general solid waste (GSW) to prepare the site.
The project also involved the installation of over 150 pieces of custom-designed furniture, placed using mobile cranes and barge-mounted cranes due to waterfront access constraints. Landscaping included more than 13,000 plants, including 87 trees and 532 feature plants, supported by over 2,500 cubic metres of soil, along with more than 3,900 square metres of paving to create durable pedestrian surfaces for the high-traffic public domain.
